the good square
Following the success of The Good Rule - The Good NZ/Regan Low wanted to explore a second measure marking tool concept in the form of a builder’s square. This was an opportunity to build on the rising “tool porn” trend involving high end quality tools in the trades.
The multi function concept was based on the same rationale as The Good Rule, being made to measure with modern building dimensions in mind and addressing common usability pain points found with existing solutions.
The concept explored integration additional features such as spirit level bubbles, sight notches and a concealed magnetic base for snapping onto steel surfaces. Renderings and prototypes were created as a proof of concept and validation for stakeholders and potential buyers such as Ox Tools.
